What does a mental health social worker do?
Mental Health Social Workers have extensive postgraduate training and experience in the field of mental health.
MHSWs work with people with mild to complex mental health issues. They support people through counselling and psychotherapy, using a range of evidence-based strategies, including focused psychological strategies.
Are you different to a psychologist?
An accredited mental health social worker can practise the same as a psychologist, exept for providing a diagnosis.
Can I see Joanne if I got told to see a psychologist?
Yes! (remember if you're needing a diagnosis, this can only be done by a psychologist)
